The name of the series, Vigil Keepers, derives from the idea of camouflage as an essential protective measure because, as they strive for a place in the sun, watchfulness is a defense in a sometimes hostile world.
A word about variations on a theme: In fine art, this is the thorough exploration of a subject until no more information can be extracted or conveyed; a way to mine a premise until there is nothing left for the artist to learn or offer. Vigil Keepers as a series goes on. |
