"RAIN-WAVE-LAND-SKY" Series
"RAIN-WAVE-LAND-SKY" Series, an imaginary recreation from childhood, comes to the surface in my art. Growing up in a small village near the ocean, I remember an interior life bubbling over with a rebellious yearning to construct a magical world populated to overflowing with fanciful images.
These memories are blurry and ephemeral … they can slip away. Then a fragment returns: salty water lapping at the shore; sparkling rain puddles; the sun glinting through swaying branches; small sand creatures; a leafy path; a clear November night; the quiet solitude of a snowfall … I paint to recapture the dream.
